Most product manager courses instruct students how to use key business vocabulary, how to develop relevant customer questions, and how to conduct effective hiring. Students also receive detailed instructions on how to prepare financial statements and other documents in Excel. Students are taught how to prepare management education material for presenting their case at meetings. After all of this work, students are usually ready to take the certification exam. There are several certifying bodies out there, but only the American Society for Professional Engineers (ASPE) and the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) can recognize the most recognized accreditation.
